Compensation inside and outside of Natura 2000 areas
Compensation of private forest owners for the loss of income due to nature conservation restrictions.
The loss of income due to nature conservation restrictions is compensated through two measures:
- Support for the promotion of biodiversity in Natura 2000 private forests
The loss of income due to nature conservation restrictions in limited management zones within a Natura 2000 network area, in a conservation zone and in an area being designed, and in a conservation zone located outside of a Natura 2000 area shall be compensated.
- Support for the compensation of nature conservation restrictions on private forest lands located outside the Natura 2000 network
Compensation shall be provided for loss of income due to nature conservation restrictions in a limited management zone located outside of the Natura 2000 network area, in a protected area, and in an area for which proceedings regarding placement under protection within the meaning of subsection 9 (1) of the Nature Conservation Act (area being designed) have been initiated.
