Solving the problem of excess water in the shafts of the former Maardu phosphorite mine

The aim of the project is to tackle the problem of excess water from the shafts of the former Maardu phosphorite mine in the Kroodi industrial area.
Action is needed to ensure that water does not flood the business sites in the industrial area. Appropriate drainage will be constructed to channel the run-off.
The project consists of design and construction works. The project will run from 2022 to 2023, and will be carried out by request of the Ministry of the Environment.
