Mini Negavatt competition

Mini Negavatt is a video competition for primary school children, where every autumn we invite children to submit clips that offer imaginative solutions to a specific environmental problem.
In doing so, we contribute to raising young people’s environmental awareness and inspire them to change the world.
We have been organising the competition since 2018. So far, we have been looking for imaginative and environmentally friendly solutions from first- to sixth-graders on topics such as ‘A World Drowning in Cities’, ‘A World Drowning in Cars’, or ‘A World Drowning in Clothes’. The competition is popular among schools, and every autumn the EIC receives a large number of videos.
The prize of the competition is a travel experience – a visit to an Estonian museum, nature centre, company, theme park, or a hiking tour. The competition also has a number of partners who put up their own prizes. The competition is broadcast on the ERR youth programme ‘NOVA’ and in the Lasteekraan environment.
