Print
For the ERDF measure "Development of Environmental Education Infrastructure" the only application round has now been closed and financing decisions will be made by the end of May 2010. The amount planned for financing is 350 million kroons.

Through the ERDF grants, the state hopes to improve and harmonise the availability of environmental education in Estonia, and one element of that is supporting the creation and development of the appropriate infrastructure. This means that the European funds can be used for constructing buildings or facilities meeting the needs of environmental education activities, adapting or reconstructing premises, procuring the necessary furnishings and study materials and establishing an infrastructure supporting outdoor studies. The precondition here is that all of the above must be used namely for the provision of environmental education.

The following applicants were able to apply for support for the activities noted: local governments and the agencies in their area of administration, non-profit associations and foundations, higher education institutions and their sub-institutions, agencies in the area of administration of the Ministry of Education and Research, the Environmental Board, the Estonian Nature Museum and the State Forest Management Centre.
